ARTIST NOTES: Inspired by the colourful Longtail boats of Thailand, this organically shaped vase mirrors the bright,the faded,the patched and the mended fishing boats found in the fishing villages of SE Asia. The sea washes and bleaches, and the sun warps and bends these wooden vessels. I have tried to replicate the whitewashed softness of colors.
