ARTIST BIO

Natasha Blieschke is a contemporary mixed media artist based in Adelaide,

Australia. Her practice explores coastal textures and organic forms, often

incorporating natural materials such as shells into richly layered Oil painted

surfaces. Blieschke’s work is shaped by the dynamic interplay between land and

sea, where realism merges with sculptural elements to create tactile, immersive

compositions.

Drawing inspiration from both mythology and portraiture, her work evokes a sense

of narrative and timelessness, capturing fleeting moments suspended between

reality and imagination. A refined attention to detail invites viewers into an intimate

visual experience, encouraging closer observation and deeper engagement with

each piece.

Blieschke was awarded the SACE Art Award in 2013, with her work featured in The

Advertiser and exhibited at Light Square Gallery. She went on to study at Adelaide

Central School of Art, further developing her distinctive material-driven approach.

Her work has been exhibited in a range of South Australian group exhibitions,

including the Victor Harbor Art Show, the Royal Adelaide Show, and the Kernewek

Lowender Art Show in Kadina. In 2025, she was awarded the Studies of Urban Life

Award at the Royal Adelaide Show for her painting The Festival At The End Of

Time.

Her current practice focuses on elevating coastal and natural themes into refined,

gallery-ready works, as she develops a cohesive body of work for upcoming solo

exhibitions.
