Amanda Western is a Ballarat-based artist working across large-format linocut, installation, and mixed media. Her practice explores resilience and ecological change, expanding large-format linocut into experimental surfaces that at times extend into sculptural and immersive forms. In the first six months of 2025 she was ranked among the top ten most frequently shortlisted artists nationally by Art-Prizes.com, with finalist works in major prizes including the Sunshine Coast National Art Prize, MAC yapang Art Prize, and Pro Hart Outback Art Prize.
Amanda is President of the Ballarat Society of Artists, a mentor with the Ballarat Arts Foundation, Coordinator of the Creative Station at Maryborough Railway Station for Central Goldfields Shire Council, and a Committee Member of the Print Council of Australia. |
